 Editorial Boards Oppose Measure 1

The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead, Grand Forks Herald, The Jamestown Sun, West Fargo Pioneer and The Dickinson Press Urge Readers to Vote No on Measure 1.

(Bismarck, ND) – Four of the largest newspapers in the state of North Dakota announced their opposition to Measure 1 this past weekend.

In an effort to inform their readers of the Measure’s dangerous implications to free speech, all Forum Communications papers in North Dakota urge their readers to vote NO on Measure 1.

“We welcome the Forum’s editorial board taking such a careful look and scrutinizing the flaws in Measure 1. The willingness of Forum management and the Editorial Board to oppose this fatally flawed measure is commendable and we are proud they stand with NDSG in opposition to Measure 1.” says GNDC President & CEO Arik Spencer.

The Forum management and Editorial Board’s announcement comes as North Dakotans for Sound Government (NDSG) continues to see a rise in Measure 1 opposition from a wide array of North Dakota businesses and organizations.

Geoff Simon, Chairman of NDSG echoed this fact, stating, “The misinformation campaign by proponents of Measure 1 is not fooling North Dakotans.  As the Forum says, ‘the devil lurks in the details.’ North Dakotans have clear concerns about this fatally flawed measure and we won’t be misled by buzzwords and false claims.”
